Boost Your Website Traffic by Directory Submission.

Directory submission is one of the easiest way to boost your website traffic. There are two major benefits of directory submission! First you will get direct traffic from the directory that you submitted too! Second your Search engine ranking will increase. So, both ways help bring traffic to your site. You may wonder if directory submission is that simple then any one can use directory submissions to their advantage. The answer is No! To get the desired results, (which is traffic) you have to submit to SEO friendly, High PR and High traffic directories.

Two type of directories.

(1)Free..In free directories you can submit your website for no cost or any exchange of links. The main disadvantage of free directories is that it will take a lot of time to increase your PR (page ranking) and get heavy trafic! There are over 3500 (plus) free directories that you can find on the Internet and increasing weekly.

(2)Paid directories...Paid directories are manually administered (also some free directories). An editor will review your website/blog before entering into their directory. So if you have the budget, paid directories are a good place to start promoting your website/blog. There are several paid directories on the Internet and can be found from doing a search! Before submitting to paid directories, check the PR and Traffic of the directory. You can check pagerank of any website by using a free tool available at checkpagerank.com. To check traffic use alexa.com. The PR of the page, is rated on a scale of 1-10. Alexa displays the rank and traffic of the website according to their stats.

In Search engine optimization (SEO) and Internet marketing "directory submission" are important, if used properly!

Directories To Submit Too

    Reported Domain Sales Mon. June 25, 2007 - Sun. July 1, 2007

This summary is not available. Please click here to view the post.

Get High Traffic Use Expiring Domain Names

Each day 20,000 plus domain names expire and become available for anyone to register. This is valuable if you are seeking a domain to help you boost your traffic, or are looking to resell the names for a profit.

Expiring domain names have been owned by at least one person in the past. This owner may have built a website, advertised, submitted to the search engines, or traded links with another website owner.

So why would anyone who made any kind of effort with a domain simply let it expire? Well, here are just a few:-
The Author lost interest A company went out of business Simply forgot to renew the registration Could not afford the fees For whatever reason, that domain is now available for the taking; and you can take advantage of all that work.

You could point it at your existing domain or build a new site. So, how do you know if a domain name even has expired traffic? While you can never tell the amount of traffic that is going to an expired domain name, there are some factors you can use to gauge this. Here are a few:-

    Link Popularity
Link popularity tells you the number of URL's or pages that link to a specific domain name. Basically, the more links coming to a domain name the higher the link popularity and the higher chance of generating traffic. Additionally, a domain name with high link popularity has a better chance of receiving better quality traffic.Use our free link popularity tool.

    Alexa Rank
The Alexa rank is a measurement of a domain's unique visitor traffic and page views. The Alexa toolbar tracks how many users visit a domain and grades those visits as rank. Alexa will normally drop an expired domain name after seeing no page view traffic for 3 months. So, if there happens to be a related Alexa rank, this is a definitive resource for traffic. Now if that Alexa rank is 1,000,000 or higher, then the domain is really not receiving any traffic. You should look for a domain with at least 100,000 that should translate into at least 2 visitors a day.

    Google PageRank
Google pagerank is a value from 1 to 10 that expresses the popularity of a domain name based upon how many quality web pages are linking into a particular domain name. Pagerank can be used for two main reasons when acquiring an expiring domain name.
Building a website to boost your main website's pagerank Take advantage of the traffic coming from the inbound links If you have the Google toolbar installed, you can discover an expired domain's pagerank by typing the URL into your web browsers address bar and looking for the pagerank to appear.Try using this tool as well

    Yahoo and Dmoz Listings
The previous domain owner may have been approved by a Dmoz editor or even paid for inclusion into a search engine like Yahoo or Looksmart. When you acquire a domain name that is expiring, you inherit these listings as well. Do the research and search the directory for the name by simply typing in the full URL for the domain.

A listing in any of the top ten search engines will not guarantee traffic, but will give you a better chance of receiving quality traffic. At the very least you can usually turn these domains around and sell them for the value of the directory listings. We have published a list of daily expiring domains names that have the tools in place for you to conduct all of this research for free.
As you can see, this is a very affordable way to gain near instant traffic for your website. Try to purchase domain names that are related to what kind of traffic you need. As an example; if you need webmaster traffic, purchase domain names that have keywords that are appealing to a webmaster not a cook.

How to scour and find the best names available

So in such a highly competitive hi-tech world, how's it possible for the average guy or gal to register a domain name without already have been beaten to it first? After all, there are over 100,000 of the little beasts being registered daily and the queue for each domain name is probably at least a mile long. What gives?

It's all about successful domain name branding. There is a big, big lie (a whopper of a lie, in fact) which is causing many dot-com startups to spend ridiculous amounts of money to budding entrepreneurs who got there first. Some guy who registered a great .com name back in 1993 for $100 is probably going to be on the receiving end of a $500,000 or more deal - for such domains like loans.com, taxes.com, bingo.com, and other one word generic domain names. But nowadays, unless you have that kinda cash to throw around, it's impossible to get hold of them.

But was $500,000 worth it for a company to buy such a name? Perhaps. Perhaps not. It's definitely very easy to market such a name, which may pay for itself ten times over in the long-run.But for the small or medium sized business, you may as well save your cash. The lie is simply this: That all of the best branded names have gone.

Wrong! Sure, without the toolkit which enables you to find such names, it's definitely very hard. But in actual fact, there have been many successes online for projects based on $10 domains - infact, some companies are earning much more online than the companies who ploughed multi-thousand dollar investments into their name branding!

    Here's how to..
Find the best domains on a shoestring budget
What makes a good domain name? Since we're left with virtually no generic names to implant our brands into, what we need to do is go for an approach at the other end of the spectrum.

We can either come up with clever phrases, or simple, to the point explanations of what our website is about. Unless your own company name is especially well-branded (like Mcdonalds or Sony),then don't bother registering your company name as your main venture unless you think you can successfully market it in a way which ties in with your current strategies. i.e. showing yourexisting off-line clients or established based of contacts your new company website.Let's work with an example. Recently, I wanted to come up with a domain name for a new marketing project I had. I was looking for something which would reflect selling online. Basically, I was wanting to teach others how to sell online and needed to find a good domain name that would become a home tothis project.

All of my ideas for names, such as SellingOnline.com or OnlineSales.com or even HowToSellOnline.com had all been taken. Rather than settling for a long, ugly and unconstructive domain name, I plugged in the word "sales" into the BizMint search system and within moments found...InternetSales101.comThis is a name that was previously registered, but since the previous owner didn't renew their domain registration, was made available after it's expiration. I registered it on the spot for around $10.

This names reflects the website perfectly... "Internet" and "Sales" are keyword rich for what I'm trying to portray and "101" is the number which means "a course for beginners", and .com is the most favored domain name, especially since I'm writing a course on how to sell online. Now if I'd have found this name on a domain auction website, I'd have been willing to pay as much as $500 for it because I know the site could earn more than that every single day. But insteadwith the BizMint system, I was able to find an expired name which has recently be made available as was open for me to register for just $10. Bargain. How YOU can find the perfect domain name First of all, what's your area of business? Write down around 5 or 10 different keywords that relate to your website and plug each of them into the BizMint search system. Make a note of allthe domains that are available (or ones that are soon to be available) and see what you can come up with. Write down only the best ones that stand out at you. After plugging in "cars" and "autos", here's what I came up with.AmericanFamilyCars.com

AmericanLuxuryCars.comAmericanSportyCars.comCarSaleLine.comCarsHut.comImportCarStore.comCars24hr.comCarsForTeens.comAutosMania.comAutosDirectly.comAutoSalesGuide.comAutoSparesFinder.comOut of the thousands of matches I received, the above are just a few that immediately caught my eye. There are probably more and more expiring daily, and having access to this system enables youto keep a permanent eye on your industry. But these are just a recent few.Depending on your niche, the above domains would be perfect for the right kind of car website. Sell lower-priced cars especially for the young student driver? CarsForTeens.com says it all. Orperhaps you compile a list of the lowest price cars available in your state? AutoSalesGuide.com is right on the money. Or how about AmericanLuxuryCars.com for the well-to-do business man? These are just a few examples of many. The next step is to analyze the search results you receive and use them to provide further inspiration for the kind of website you're looking for. Many times the expired domains churned out at you are good enough to register on their own - but at an absolute minimum, even if you don't register any, they can provide great inspiration for your own ideas. For instance... you may not want Cars24hr.com, but instead 24hrCars.com. The list doesn't show this domain as expired but that doesn't mean it's not available.
You can use the Whoissearch on the main BizMint members-only page to find that specific domain and see if it's available. If it is, you can grab it for registration immediately. What makes a great domain name?A great domain is something that ties in well with your website. Since the generic approach to finding a domain name is virtually out of the question, when finding a domain name that fits in withyour own website, it's important to come up with something that can be associated with it.
Here's a great example I found recently...ListenHoney.com is a site dedicated to informing people about their rude behaviors, their bad habits, or simply letting them know that there's an area in there life that needs to change for the general good of everyone else. Check out the site to see what I mean (it's really funny). My guess is that the resale value of this domain is virtually zero. If they tried to sell just the domain, they'd probably be lucky to get more than $100 for it. It's a short two-word domain, but it has a very limited scope and in general, people just aren't going to be interested in owning it.

However, for the website owners, it's an absolute gem. It's a very clever incarnation of what the site offers, and to be honest I don't think there's another domain that could ever compete withit. So for the owners, although the domain was cheap to register, it's priceless.
Value is in the eye of the beholder. If a longer, usually less attractive URL works great for your business, then register it and use it! Who cares what's its resale value is. I've personallytaken $10 domains and turned them into $100,000 or more yearly income streams with powerful business models. Since my own business is 100% Internet-based, it doesn't matter to me whetheranyone clicks on a hyperlink which is 40 characters long or one that's short, sweet and snappy. As long as the domain portrays what you're offering, the expired domain name database at BizMint will enable you to scour and find thousands of top domains that fit in well with your businessmodel.

Let's say you own a company called Smith's Computer Systems Inc... what type of domain would work well with your business model?

You could buy SmithsComputerSystemsInc.com - but that's boring, it has virtually no branding potential and to put it bluntly, it sucks.

So instead, you'd make a list of keywords and plug them into the BizMint search system. Here are a two keywords I'd note down:

ComputerPCsThen I'd plug them into the search system, and look for all expired .com's. I'd like the domain to be less than 20 characters long and not contain either numbers or dashes. let's see what I find BestComputerSource.comBuyaComputerNow.comComputerBoot.com
    MyComputerStore.comTheComputerSite.com
Each of the above domains contain much more branding potential than

    SmithsComputerSystemsInc.com or any similar domain.

Something like MyComputerStore.com would be perfect for branding and would look great in any form of advertising
"Just click to MyComputerStore.com"I found the above 5 domains in less than two minutes. It took 10 seconds to complete the search, and another couple of minutes just to browse through the list and see what I could find. Andthat was without even searching for the "PCs" keyword - just for "computer".This is the kind of power you have. And when used properly, you'll be able to churn out a whole stack of quality domain names!

The basics of domain name technology

What exactly is a domain? How does it work? What's it's purpose?

Allow me to explain. The Internet is a massive computer network comprising of millions of different systems connected together. Just like the millions of houses that appear in any major city around the world, each computer has a specific "address" that's assigned to it.
In computer speak, this is called an IP address (as opposed to a "postal address" which would be used to keep track of houses in a city).

Every one of these computers connected to this massive network has an IP address assigned to it, which will look something like the following.

    216.123.456.12
Now with the shear amount of computers connected to this global metropolis, imagine the chaos of having to remember the IP address of each website you visited instead of its .com address. It just wouldn't work - you'd have such a hard time. For example...

Who hasn't been to Yahoo.com and searched for something? Or loaded up hotmail.com to check their email? Instead of plugging in "www.yahoo.com" into your browser, imagine having to type a long, hard to remember IP address that takes you to their website. Too tiresome. Extremely hard to market. Impossible to brand. You get the picture.

So instead, some bright spark came up with a new idea - an idea that allows both words and numbers to be assigned to a computer name. The result is what you know today as an "Internet domainname".Let's take a look at the typical domain name and dissect how it works. For argument's sake, we'll take our very domain name...

Bizmint.comThe end part, ".com", is called the top-level domain (tld). This is the identifying part of the name which separates the actual domain name and was originally intended to put certain domains into different categories. i.e .com was meant for commercial use, .org was for nonprofit organizations, and .net for used for Internet ISP-type companies.

You've no doubt seen many different TLDs yourself - such as .uk for UK domain names, .es for Spanish names, .de for German domains, etc.

The other part, "bizmint" in this case, is a word/phrase assigned to that particular TLD which identifies where the domain should belong. This part can be anything up to 63 characters long, and can contain numbers, letters or dashes (providing the domain doesn't start or end with a dash), but it can't contain any special characters - so things like "?" or "$"are out of the question.
.com is by far the most popular TLD, and with good reason. It's got marketing appeal, brand-naming recognition and it's more popular than any of the other domain extensions put together. Welive in the "dot-com revolution"... if a man or woman succeeds online, they're known as a "dot-com entrepreneur"... if a venture fails, we call it a "dot-bomb".

Heck, even the shade of paint I have in my office has been labeled by the company as "dot-com". This kind of appeal is unrivaled by any other TLD - and it's the sole reason why .com is the primary choice for many.

How a domain name is registered

At the start of the Internet era, a .com domain name would cost around $100 to register for two years. Nowadays, you can get them for around $10 a year, depending on the cost set by theRegistrar. What's a Registrar? It's simply a company that has been setup to provide an interface for registering domain names and assigning them to specific networks. The Internet works by having thousandsof "DNS databases" around the world which contain the domain name information - i.e. it says that yahoo.com needs to be assigned to their Yahoo servers.

Since the domain name game has become deregulated, more and more registrars have come onto the scene, charging anywhere from $8.95 to $50 per year. What's the difference? None - you still get adomain name assigned to your web server. It's just that many people don't know other, cheaper companies exist. And these cheaper companies may still be as good, and fortunately chargeeven less.

You'll find a list of Registrars in the resource link section.

The difference between a "domain" and a "website"

Having your own .com domain name doesn't mean you automatically have your own website. Here's what you need to have a website...

A web server which contains your website data.

Your own domain name which points to that server

A web server is simply a computer that's permanently connected to the Internet and has been setup as a machine with the sole dedication of serving web pages. Whilst it's technically possible to turn your own home computer into a web server, in 99.9% of cases it's neither practical nor recommended.Instead, there are literally thousands of "web hosting" companies in existence that have dedicated machines stored in dedicated, secure network locations around the world. With prices from $10per month to thousands of dollars monthly (depending on what you buy), they'll hook you up with webspace and a whole load more facilities (such as email, etc). Then on top of this, you needto buy a domain name to point to that web server. For instance, if you bought "shopping.com" and pointed it to a web host that charged you monthly for hosting webspace, every time someone goes to shopping.com (or http://www.shopping.com/), or sends an email to webmaster@shopping.com (or whatever email addresses you set up on your web host's machine) they'd in fact be connecting to your web server which would then serve the pages they requested.

A domain name is completely separate from your web server. You can change your web server/web host a thousand different times and simply update your domain name settings to point to the newserver. It allows you to have one central presence no matter where you host your website. In fact, your domain name is probably the one thing your customers will ever remember you by.Which is exactly why domain name branding is one of the most valuable things you can ever do with your online business. It's vitally important that your website name appropriately reflectsthe kind of image you wish to present. It doesn't necessarily have to be dead true to your business dealings, only with the image - examples...

monster.com is a job search website. People will always remember a generic name such as this because it's easily associated. It's a one word, two syllable name. And when you visit their website, their logo immediately says "monster". Instead, they could have had a name such as "find-a-job-here.com" - but that's complicated to remember. When you want to visit the site next month, was it "findajobhere.com"? or did it have hyphens, or was it "get-a-job-here.com" or what? hmm... hard to remember, lost customers, not branded properly.

Instead, the company chose to use a generic one-word name. Think about it, it's what all of the top websites do - yahoo.com (what does that mean anyway?), hotmail.com, amazon.com, jungle.com -they're all easy to remember.

Unfortunately, because of the shear amount of domains that have been registered, and continue to be registered daily, it's just impossible to snag a one-word domain name without hunting it like a hawk. And it's only once-in-a-million that such a name will ever be made available. However, the purpose of BizMint.com is to empower you with the tools and knowledge to learn how to make use of domain names that are expiring daily, and use what's available in order to successful brand your site.

How To Boost Your Traffic With Expired Domain Names

Until now you might have thought that expired domain names are excellent just for branding.
But do you know that by registering the right expired domain names you can significantly boost your website's exposure and traffic?
There is no doubt that Yahoo! is the world's biggest portal. It's no secret that many websites are making tons of money just from the fact that they're on Yahoo!. It's also nothing new that it's getting more and more difficult to get listed there. Now, listen to this. There are tens of thousands of websites listed on Yahoo!. That's tens of thousands of unique domain names, some of which *expire*. Catching my drift?
You own XYZ Web Hosting Corporation (xyzhosting.com) and you want to boost your website's traffic. John Qwerty once had a web hosting business too, with a domain nameqwertyhosting.com. He even got listed on Yahoo.com and received some solid traffic from them over the years. Unfortunately his business flopped and he didn't renew his domain name, so it naturally expired. Despite the fact qwertyhosting.com is available for re-registration, QWERTY Hosting is still in Yahoo! Index .By registering qwertyhosting.com and pointing it to your xyzhosting.com, you'll get a steady flow of qualified visitors from Yahoo!
It's not just Yahoo.com that you can get residual traffic from. Some of the domain names that have now expired once were thriving online businesses linked from tens (may be hundreds) other websites. Chances are that many of those links are still active, pointing to the now dead, expired domains. Now, if you can only register such a domain name, you can capture a stream of traffic that would otherwise go into a black hole.
To find such names, you need two things:
    a) a list of expired domain names
.b) a link popularity checker to see whether a particular expired domain name has any links pointed to it.
Some people are getting hundreds of visitors every day thanks to these little-known tricks!

A warning about registering copyrighted domains

I'll make this section quick and to the point.

One thing you should never be tempted to do is register a domain name that contains a company name which isn't yours, especially when it comes to bigger companies. So don't even think of registering MicrosoftSoftware.com or McdonaldsHamburgers.com, because their legal departments will eat you alive. Literally.

In the early days of the net, there were a lot of "cybersquatters" who registered company domain names in the hope that they could bid them to massive companies and reap millions of dollars for their efforts.Hundreds of court cases and thousands of dollars in legal expenses later, all that happened was the courts summoned the "little guy" to give up his trademarked name and literally give it away to the big companies.

So the warning is simply this. If you spot a hot domain that you think would bring a major company's purchasing department to its knees, resist the temptation. You'll go through much more hassle than it's worth. To ensure that there won't be any copyright conflicts on the particular name, use a trademark search on any new domain. I personally use http://www.nameprotect.com/.

Tread with caution... because if you launch a multi-million dollar venture on a domain that doesn't belong to you, you may end up giving it away.

    Instant Traffic Using Expired Domains

Getting free traffic to your website is a lot of work. If you don't have the money to spend on full blown PPC (pay-per-click) campaigns like Google AdWords, free traffic exchanges are a great way to get the traffic you need.

Seeing as how your attention was drawn to this free information you are probably own a website or are involved in some type of internet marketing.

International Web usage is seeing declines in the summer months as well. Between mid-May and July of 2002, Russia reported a twenty-percent decline in summer Internet usage. Sweden saw its summer traffic stifled by eighteen-percent as early as July 1999, and many other countries around the world are feeling the hit of summer traffic reductions as well.

Buy traffic - There is one fast way to deliver traffic by the thousands to your website within 24 hours. Buy traffic from traffic brokers. Most traffic brokers show your website as a full page pop-under without the internet explorer bar on selected type of geo targeting and category.

    Instant Traffic Using Expired Domains
Every day thousands of domains 'expire' and are put back into the pool of available domains that anyone can register. They can be very valuable if you are looking for a quality domain for your online business, or if you want to re-sell them for profit. But wait! There is another huge advantage to a domain that was previously owned -- Instant Traffic!

As I said above, expired domains have all been owned by someone in the past. Many of these previous owners built Websites for these domains, advertised them, registered them with search engines, and even exchanged links with other sites. All translating into traffic to that domain name.

Now, why would someone who took the time to do all that work let the domain expire? It could be one of several reasons: * the author simply lost interest * an online venture ran out of funding * poor management of the domain * they couldn't afford the fees

Similar to browsers who walk into the high street shops to "Touch and Feel" the merchandise.
Quality Incoming Links - Having a number of incoming links from reputable websites in the same topic area of your website is crucial. Having links from sites with Page Rank 3 or greater, will help your search engine rankings enormously.

There may well be over 1000 search engines and indexes on the internet. However, there are only a dozen engines with any real clout. Google and Yahoo dominate the web in terms of traffic, followed by a raft of medium sized search engines.

It is common knowledge that without traffic we have no business. Like any business, without any customers you don't get sales. Traffic represents all the people that gets a chance to see what you have to offer. Whatever the reason, it happens. And you can reclaim some of the wasted traffic and use it to your advantage. You can either point it to your existing site or use it to jumpstart and add value to a new site.

How do you know if an expired domain has traffic?
While there is no way to gauge the actual amount of traffic going to an expired domain, you can find out its link popularity in the major search engines. This will tell you the number of Web pages listed in a particular search engine that link to that domain. The more links, the higher link popularity and the more traffic that domain is getting (in some search engines, the higher ranking, too).

As you can see, this can be an affordable way to gain instant traffic to your site. Be nice, though, and do not abuse this technique, make sure the site you are sending traffic to relates to the domain. For example don't register the expired domain 'ehairplugs.com' just because it has a high link popularity and then forward the domain to your site about Internet marketing. Other than that you may use your new domain with 'built-in' traffic however you wish! Compare SEO Elite and get free SEO Elite Software download today Do not make the mistake of including the URL of your internet opportunity on each and every manual traffic exchange you are participating....instead...use some of your traffic exchange affiliate links to derive the benefits of residual traffic in the long run.

Generating traffic is not an easy task. You have to contend with a great number of sites to generate a good number of traffic flow. But if done successfully this could open up a Pandora's Box of possibilities. One of the benefits is monetizing your traffic flow.

Also, when people see the same ad over and over again, they get desensitized to it. Don't fall into this trap. It's one thing to try and sell a very popular product/service/ebook etc, but it's another thing when a million other people are trying to do it too. Competition is a good thing, because it validates your market, but too much competition is tough and it's time to move on to something else.

Advanced website traffic tactics might sound daunting, but if you make it low cost then you have nothing but a win-win situation. Employ low cost advanced website traffic tactics and you're in for a huge online success

    How Expired Domains Work

In the early days of the Internet when a domain name expired it was already available for other people to register it. Nowadays the process is more complex; the ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) created what is called “Grace Period” to protect the registrants.

The Daily Domainer blog has an interesting article titled “Expired – But Not Gone” describing the process in detail. Basically once a domain expires it enters into the “Auto Renew Grace Period”. This period usually lasts 30 days and the owner of the domain is able to renew anytime during that time frame. Should the owner fail to renew the domain it will enter into the Redemption period.

The registrar becomes the owner of the domain on this period, and it will try to sell the domain through auctions or retain it in the case it generates PPC revenues. Finally if the domain is not sold through an auction and if it is also not generating revenues the registrar will release it.

    Getting Traffic using Expiring Domains

Each day 20,000 plus domains are expiring and areavailable for anyone to register. This is valuable if you are seeking a domain to help you boost your traffic, or are looking to resell the names for a profit.

Expiring domains have been owned by at least one person in the past. This owner may have built a website, advertised, submitted to the search engines, or traded links with another website owner.

So why anyone who made any kind of effort with a domain would simply let it expire? Well, here are just a few:-
    The Author lost interest
A company went out of business
Simply forgot to renew the registration
    Could not afford the fees

For whatever reason, that domain is now available for the taking; and you can take advantage of all that work.

Additionally, a domain name with high link popularity has a better chance of receiving better quality traffic.
Use our free link popularity tool.
Building a website to boost your main website's pagerank
Take advantage of the traffic coming from the inbound links
If you have the Google toolbar installed, you can discover an expired domain's pagerank by typing the URL into your web browsers address bar and looking for the pagerank to appear.
Try using this tool as well
    Yahoo and Dmoz Listings
The previous domain owner may have been approved by a Dmoz editor or even paid for inclusion into a search engine like Yahoo or Looksmart. When you acquire a domain name that is expiring, you inherit these listings as well. Do the research and search the directory for the name by simply typing in the full URL for the domain.

A listing in any of the top ten search engines will not guarantee traffic, but will give you a better chance of receiving quality traffic. At the very least you can usually turn these domains around and sell them for the value of the directory listings.

We have published a list of daily expiring domains names that have the tools in place for you to conduct all of this research for free.As you can see, this is a very affordable way to gain near instant traffic for your website. Try to purchase domain names that are related to what kind of traffic you need. As an example; if you need webmaster traffic, purchase domain names that have keywords that are appealing to a webmaster not a cook.

Some Basics About Expired Domain Names

This article is in response to a couple of questions I received about what exactly is an expired domain and how to make use of such domain names in business and for profit. For some of you, this is probably very basic information, but for others, especially newbies, I hope it will be helpful.
    Here we go.....
A domain name represents one or more IP addresses, which are used in URLs to identify particular web pages on the world wide web. Usually, this would consist of a designed website with links on search engines, contain business information, carry related advertisements and have reciprocal links to other websites. The domain of this blog, VOHIO.com, for example, embodies a number of IP addresses.
When you acquire a new domain name, you pay for its registration and you have to renew its license annually. If you do not do so, the domain name expires and becomes available for others to purchase. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), sometimes domain owners miss renewing their domain names due to various factors. Perhaps, the owner failed to received the expiration notice reminder from the registrar or he or she may have run out of money to continue promoting the site or his interest and enthusiasm to continue managing the site may have waned.
An expired domain name is an interesting prospect to many webmasters. Firstly, the online traffic generated by such a domain comes as an inexpensive opportunity to cross-sell a new website and its services. Secondly, once acquired, the webmaster has the option to either maintain the website as it used to be, or redirect the expected visitors to one of his own existing websites.
Basically, the use of the expired domain name takes advantage of the expired domain's link popularity, back links to it from other websites, page rank status and also all listings it already has in the search engines.
By investing in an expired domain name, savvy webmasters are finding out that they not only obtain the potential customers of the expired domain but also benefit from saving time, effort and the costs related to undertaking an extensive promotion of a site just to get a substantial share of online traffic.
Domain speculators, (I prefer to call them entrepreneurs), are likewise drawn to buying expired domain names to make money. The way they do it is: they purchase popular expired domain names and resell those for a profit.
There, I hope that was useful. If anyone would like to use this article on their own website, ezine, blog or ebook, feel free to do so but please be sure to copy the article in its entirety including this portion with a live link back to ExpiringDomains.com
    Thank you.

    Recently Expired Domains

Domains are constantly expiring without their owners renewing their registrations for them. These domains are often kept for approximately 45 days before they are put up on the Internet for interested parties to take new ownership of them. Owning recently expired domains can offer great advantages to you and if managed wisely, can lead to the earning of substantial online profits.
There are several ways to finding recently expired domains. The easiest method to carrying this out is to conduct an Internet search where you will find countless offers for services can help you track domains that have expired or are about to expire. Employing such a service will probably cost you a regular fee.
However, if you are not intent on being on the lookout for soon-to-be expired domains, then it might not be worth your money paying a regular fee for such a service. Instead, you can zoom in on domains that are recently expired and make a one-time investment to buy them over.
Choosing a recently expired domain that holds close relevance to your online business will help you focus your search. This will certainly help you to know where to start in your search for the most ideal domain on the market. Some tools may give you the option of searching for an expired domain with a keyword match. This will certainly help you to narrow down your choices especially if your search is particularly specific.
There are even some tools available that include an advanced search with a variety of options to help you narrow down your findings. Once you have found the expired domain of your choice, you must check for its availability before registering it at a domain register that you are comfortable with.

    Why Park Domains

If you own many domain names like me, one of the first things you'd probably do when you acquire a new name, is to park it somewhere.
And you know there are plenty of domain parking providers around. And you probably also know that these parking pages are severely limited.
For example, your earnings from the PPC ads shown on your page is shared with the parking provider, so you probably only end up getting about 30% to 40% of what you could potentially earn.Instead of paying another company to park your domains for you, why don't you park them yourself and keep 100% of the profits?
    Makes perfect sense.
I came across this brilliant product Domain Money Maker. It provides an easy-to-use script that generates dynamic, content-rich, search-engine-optimized parking pages for your domains with your own AdSense ads.
I tried it out and managed to create a site about global warming in 12 minutes! (You can create niche sites on almost any newsworthy topic you choose. You don't even need to know anything about the subject!)All you do is edit a few lines. (Clear instructions given so even a newbie can follow).
With the keywords you choose, you then get your own unique site automatically generated instantly. What's even better is that the content is not stagnant but it actually gives you fresh new content every day without you having to lift a finger! You also get to add any links or images you like. Or customize it as much as you want.
Try doing that with a parked page!
Another thing I found from my stats:
I used to get 5 cents for a click parked the "old way". But I see that that each click now makes between 15 cents to 25 cents using this method. The special offer is that you can now use it for an UNLIMITED number of domain names for just $47.

The domain of this blog, EXPIRINGDOMAINS.BLOGSPOT.COM , for example, embodies a number of IP addresses.

If anyone would like to use this article on their own website, ezine, blog or ebook, feel free to do so but please be sure to copy the article in its entirety including this portion with a live link back to expiringdomains.blogspot.com.

    Domain sniping

Domain sniping is the practice of an individual registering a domain name whose registration has lapsed in the immediate moments after expiry. This practice has largely been muted through ICANN's addition of the Redemption Grace Period (RGP), which allows registrants 30 days to reclaim their domain name. By law there are no perpetual rights to domain names after payment of registration fees lapses, aside from trademark rights granted by common law or statute.
Although domain registrars often make multiple attempts to notify a registrant of a domain name's impending expiration, a failure on the part of the original registrant to provide the registrar with accurate contact information can make an unintended registration lapse posible. Unless the original registrant holds a trademark or other legal entitlement to the name, they are often left without any form of recourse in getting the domain name back. It is incumbent on registrants to be proactive in managing their name registrations and to be good stewards of their names.
Prior to the Redemption Grace Proceedure (RGP) individuals could engage in domain sniping in order to extort money from the original registrant to buy the name back. The addition of RGP has largely abated the ability to 'snipe' names and therefore has moved the battle for expiring domain names to the domain registrar level, where companies such as Godaddy or Enom retain names for auction through services such as TDNAM.com or Snapnames.com
